ملخّص بلا حرق.
يشير اسم «كارتلي» إلى مملكة جورجيا في العصور الوسطى وإلى مصحة في تبليسي تؤوي لاجئين من حرب أبخازيا في تسعينيات القرن الماضي، وكان من المفترض أن تكون إقامتهم مؤقتة، لكنها استمرت ثلاثين عامًا. وقد تحوّل هذا المبنى المتهالك إلى «بلد» مُعاد تشكيله، بمزرعته وحدائقه وشرفاته وغرفه التي تعيد فيها أشرطة الفيديو القديمة إحياء ذكريات فردوس مفقود. ومن خلال تامونا وإيرما وآخرين، يستكشف الفيلم المنفى والصدمة والصمود المشترك، ليكشف أن لا شيء يبقى على حاله داخل كارتلي.١
